Terra Firma Leisure and Tourism Projects

The foundation underpinning the work of the landscape profession is undoubtedly the design of Parks and Gardens and this can often involve doing so in the context of historic precedent, if not actually having to address it directly as part of a heritage project. This mixed sector continues to throw up a particularly wide variety of creative challenges for the practice.

Falklands Memorial,
Pangbourne

Terra Firma designed the garden setting for this national memorial to the Falklands Conflict with Architect Crispin Wride and it was opened by HM The Queen in 2000. The scheme is underlaid with symbolism and references to the South Atlantic and aims to provide an area of comfort and contemplation.
