Terra Firma Leisure and Tourism Projects

Terra Firma are well used to taking on projects from the earliest concept stage and at the largest scale. This will involve the need to develop an extensive understanding of the area under study and the inevitably complex interaction of all its parts from physical and natural factors, human land use pressures and economic, sociological and ecological drivers for long term sustainability.

Terra Firma has over 20 years experience in masterplanning and developing strategies and guidelines for future development. This often involves vigorous Environmental Impact Assessment and the Practice is well versed in the correct processes and methodologies, whether co-ordinating a project or acting as part of a team providing the landscape and visual impact expertise required.

St. Papoul

This intriguing project for a private client in the south of France involved assessment of the likely impacts of new quarry workings on the property's views and setting over coming years and exploration of the optimum way to mitigate these both on and off site with landform and plantings. Terra Firma also worked with the client on design strategies close to the house to further mitigate negative impacts on views and enhance the garden in line with the family's needs and aspirations.
