Submitted for nomination by WWA architects, the award recognises the collaborative vision behind this carefully considered senior living development in Petersfield, within the protected landscape of the South Downs.
The scheme delivers thoughtfully designed affordable homes alongside high-quality outdoor spaces that promote wellbeing, independence and community living. A key consideration throughout the design was the relationship between the development and its sensitive landscape setting. The scheme has been carefully arranged to maximise views towards the South Downs while minimising its visual impact on existing views into the site.
The landscape design incorporates a series of courtyard gardens and shared outdoor spaces, providing residents with opportunities for social interaction and connection with the outdoors.
