South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA): A27 Arundel

Working on behalf of the South Downs National Park Authority, terra firma has undertaken survey work following LVIA principles, and provided evidence to support a coordinated response to Highway England’s high-level consultation exercise. The work has considered several different options for improving the major highway, including junction improvements and provision for non-motorised users, to the east of Lewes, and also crossing the Arun valley south of Arundel. The reports produced by terra firma considered the potential implications for the landscape and visual amenity of the South Downs, and whether the ability of the National Park Authority to uphold its statutory purposes might be compromised.
